As a professional transport company with financial strength built up over decades, Stonestreets can provide a turnkey solution for project transport needs ranging from minibus (11 seats) through to coach transport (seating up to 69). Stonestreets has a proven track record of performing well in the major projects market, including previous contracts for Bechtel, Rio Tinto, Serco (QGC), Thiess, Laing O’Rourke and a range of second and third tier contractors. These regional based projects have stretched from Millmerran, Darwin, Gladstone, Coppabella and Nebo to all around the Surat Basin.
In the peak of the resource sector boom Stonestreets fleet travelled a massive 11,548,673 kilometres and logged 369,957 driver hours in a single year, with only 147 minor traffic incidents and no major incidents, continuing an outstanding safety record which has been maintained since the company’s inception.

Stonestreets are currently supplying personnel bussing for the Amrun Project in Weipa. The scope of works for this project includes R&R transfers, site, camp and ferry shuttles as well as ad hoc services as required. Vehicles mobilised on this project include mini and large coaches and a range of 4X4 buses. Stonestreets mobilised to the Amrun site at the beginning of construction and has worked closely with the client to develop methodology to provide effective services despite the challenges presented by the remote site, extreme weather and road construction.
Gladstone LNG Project
Stonestreets provided personnel bussing for the five years of Bechtel's Gladstone combined LNG construction project. This contract utilised approximately 120 buses for mainland personnel bussing. The Gladstone LNG project commenced in November 2011 and was completed in December 2016.
The scope of works included R&R transfers, camp/ferry shuttles and social shuttles as well as ad hoc services as required. The contract covered the management and operation of company owned vehicles as well as the provision, management and operation of a Stonestreets owned fleet of vehicles including Hiaces, Rosas and 53-57 seat coaches.
Darwin LNG Project
In 2003 Stonestreets was awarded the Bechtel contract for personnel bussing services during the construction of the Darwin LNG project.
This contract including the site shuttles and R&R services for Darwin, Palmerston and Wickham Point.
The project utilised approximately 32 buses and ran from 2003 to 2006.
During the term of the project Stonestreets established a depot in Darwin to facilitate the management and operation of the fleet.
Surat Basin Projects
Stonestreets have been providing personnel and charter bussing services in the Surat Basin area since 2011. Currently Stonestreets provides personnel bussing including site and R&R transfers for subcontractor services on QGC’s Charlie project. This contract commenced in 2015 and is scheduled to run until the end of 2017. The project utilises 8-10 permanent site coaches, supported by additional vehicles from the Roma depot as required.
Previous major projects in this area have included Theiss/Serco and Woleebee at Chinchilla as well as a number of smaller projects and ongoing charter services.
Stonestreets have also been named as a preferred supplier to companies including Arrow Energy, and Ensign and continue to perform ongoing works for these clients.
BMA Daunia Mine
Stonestreets was awarded the contract for personnel bussing for the Daunia Mine construction project in July 2011, this project involved a fleet of over 20 buses and concluded in 2013.
Millmerran Power Station
Stonestreets first major project was the personnel bussing for Millmerran Power Station. This project commenced in 1999 and ran until 2002 with a total value of $2.5 million. Stonestreets acquired a small fleet of project buses to utilise on this project, the fleet subsequently grew into the extensive project fleet which is now deployed at resource projects across Queensland.
